STS136: Walking Bass Method, Part 6: Constructing Lines Using Scale Tones
Part 6 of the "Walking Bass Method" series. This lesson introduces and discusses in detail the second tier of Adam's walking bass method that is based on the use of scale tones. Scale tones effectively shrink the intervallic distances between the notes in our walking lines, ultimately reshaping their contour. Associates individual chord types with specific modes of the major scale and demonstrate show to use these forms while walking over static chords. Recommended for beginning to intermediate level players interested in learning how to play walking bass lines.
