AHT160: Navigating Ascending & Descending Arpeggio & Scale Forms

This lesson discusses arpeggio and scale forms in the context of viewing them as both ascending and descending shapes on the fingerboard. Many stringed instrument players are locked into a 'bottom to top' approach in which they begin most shapes from the lowest pitch string. This lesson shows how you can expand your mastery of the fingerboard by seeing intervals and phrases from more of a 'top-down' approach. A great lesson for beginning or intermediate players that are looking to break out of ruts when practicing academic components like scales or arpeggios.
